PROFESSIONAL CONVERSION PROGRAMME (PCP)

IN PROGRAMMATIC ADVERTISING

PROGRAMMATIC TALENT SOURCING, TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Interactive Advertising Bureau Singapore (IAB Singapore), Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Economic Development Board (EDB) have announced the launch of the Adapt and Grow Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for Programmatic Advertising to help meet the growing need for talent with programmatic advertising skill sets.

Specialised skills development in digital capabilities is one of the key pillars of the Professional Services Industry Transformation Map. The Adapt and Grow PCP for Programmatic Advertising, which combines classroom and on-the-job training, would help mid-career entrants undergo skills conversion and become certified programmatic advertising professionals. The course was developed through research and interviews with industry stakeholders, ranging from business leaders to graduates from other commercial programmes, to ensure its relevance.

The PCP aims to upskill and reskill professionals, managers and executives in Singapore who are currently in media, publishing and related fields to programmatic related roles; or from other industries keen to convert their skillsets and experience into a career in programmatic advertising. This PCP is applicable for funding and educational support for new job roles where programmatic advertising is a core function.

 

Job roles developed through this PCP can include and are not limited to the following:
  • Strategy and client servicing
  • Trading and ad ops
  • Analytics
  • Engineering
  • Software and product development


PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

On-job training (OJT): 80%
Full day industry-accredited classroom based training: 20%

 

Fully supported by trainers and external mentor

Individuals who attend the PCP will be trained on software used to automate the buying, placement and optimisation of media inventory via a real time bidding system. They will also learn the key skills to transform their thinking to tailor a specific message and creative to the right person, at the right time in the right context and media platform, using audience insights. This PCP is also suitable to enhance individuals’ opportunities to join a career in the future of advertising and media industry by providing them with classroom training in latest technology, knowledge and trends, and real experience in the field through On-the-Job (OJT) training.

 

IAB Professional Certificate in Programmatic

Candidates who have successfully completed the programme will be awarded the IAB Professional Certificate in Programmatic, indicating a high standard of competency in programmatic advertising.

HOW YOU CAN BE INVOLVED

To participate in the programme:
  • Candidates must be a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Permanent Resident (SPR).
  • Candidates must have at least 2 years’ working experience which can be gained from any industry.
  • Candidates must be employed by your business as a new hire to become a participant in the programme and will continue to work within your company once they have graduated the programme.
